India, Sept. 6 -- The Government of India has issued a release:

Dr. Vinaya Prakash Singh, a 1988 batch officer of the Indian Postal Service, has been re-elected as Secretary-General of the Asian-Pacific Postal Union (APPU) for a second consecutive four-year term. He was declared elected unopposed by acclamation at the 14th APPU Congress held in Bangkok on September 4, 2026. His re-election reflects the confidence and consensus of postal administrations across the Asia-Pacific region in his leadership and is a significant recognition of India's contribution to international postal cooperation. His second term will commence in January 2027 and continue until December 2030.
