The Department of Food and Public Distribution (DFPD) successfully concluded the Swachhata Hi Seva-2026 (SHS-2026) campaign on 2nd October 2026, with a series of cleanliness and awareness activities across the country.
The campaign commenced on 17th September 2026 with the Swachhata pledge. During the fortnight, DFPD, along with its PSUs and attached and subordinate offices, conducted a range of activities including cleanliness drives at Central Government offices, door-to-door awareness campaigns, drawing competitions, walkathons, tree plantation under "Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam", "Ek Din Ek Ghanta Ek Saath" activities and cultural programmes such as poem recitation, Nukkad Natak an...
