The Department of Fisheries, Government of India organized a National Workshop on Promotion of Deep-Sea Fishing and Interaction with Access Pass Holders on 17th September 2026 in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. The National workshop aims to promote deep-sea fishing by encouraging fishers to harness high-value fisheries resources, while also providing a platform to understand on-ground challenges and gather stakeholder suggestions for further strengthening the sector.
