India, March 30 -- The Government of India has issued a release:

Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Science & Technology, Earth Sciences, and MoS PMO, Personnel, Public Grievances, Pensions, Atomic Energy and Space, Dr. Jitendra Singh today said that crop waste converted to bio-bitumen can save around Rs 40,000 cr import annually for India. This has been made possible using indigenous bio-bitumen technology developed by CSIR-Central Road Research Institute (CRRI) New Delhi and CSIR-Indian Institute of Petroleum (IIP), Dehradun, he added.
