PMBJP: Taking Affordable Medicines Closer to People
Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana provides quality-assured generic medicines at significantly lower prices. This is enabled through an expanding network of dedicated Jan Aushadhi Kendras (JAKs) across the country. The initiative strengthens the affordability and access to generic pharmaceuticals.
The product basket under the Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojna has 2,110 medicines and 315 surgicals, medical consumables and devices, as of August 2026.
