India, Aug. 4 -- The Government of India has issued a release:

The PM E-DRIVE Scheme is being implemented on a pan-India basis, and no State-wise allocation of funds has been made. As on 22.07.2026, a total of 42,035 EVs have been sold in Assam, under this Scheme which includes 8,003 EVs sold in Cachar district. Further, a total of 40,009 EVs have been incentivised in Assam with a total reimbursement of Rs. 99.10 crore to OEMs.

An allocation of Rs.2,000 crore has been made under the PM E-DRIVE Scheme for deployment of Electric Vehicle Public Charging Stations (EVPCS) on pan India basis including the state of Assam. Assam has not yet submitted any proposal for deployment of EVPCS under the PM E-DRIVE scheme.
