Reserve Bank of India (RBI) compiles the House Price Index (HPI) on quarterly basis based on transaction-level data received from the registration authorities. Today, the Reserve Bank released its HPI for Q2:2025-26 with base year as 2022-23, in eighteen major cities1. Time series data on all-India and city-wise HPIs are available at the Bank's database on Indian economy (DBIE) portal (https://data.rbi.org.in/DBIE/#/dbie/home > Statistics > Real Sector > Prices & Wages).
