On the recommendation of the Dadasaheb Phalke Award Selection Committee, the Government of India is pleased to announce that the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award 2024 will be conferred upon veteran actor Shri Anant Nag in recognition of his outstanding and invaluable contribution to the growth and development of Indian Cinema. The award recognises his illustrious cinematic journey spanning over 5 decades, which has inspired generations of artists and enriched the cultural landscape of the nation. The award will be presented to Shri Anant Nag at the 72nd National Film Awards ceremony to be held on 22nd September, 2026, at Kevadia, Gujarat.
