The 65' edition of Subroto Cup International Football Tournament commenced on18 Aug 26 at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Stadium in New Delhi. The opening day featured an exciting encounter in the Junior Girls (under-17) category, with Meghalaya scoring victory over Chandigarh by 2-0 in the featured match. The goal scorer from Meghalaya were Ms Genefa and Ms Wandari.
The tournament was declared open following an opening ceremony attended by Air Marshal S Sivakumar, Air Officer-in-Charge Administration and Vice Chairman, Subroto Mukerjee Sports Education Society, who was the Chief Guest.
