India, Sept. 29 -- Union Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Shri Bhupender Yadav informed that during the 37th Session of UNESCO's International Coordinating Council - Man and the Biosphere - held on 27.09.2025, India's Cold Desert Biosphere Reserve, Himachal Pradesh, has been included in the World Network of Biosphere Reserves.
In a post on Social Media platform 'X', the Minister stated that with this addition, India now has 13 Biospheres listed in UNESCO's World Network of Biosphere Reserves, which reflects India's commitment towards biodiversity conservation and community-led sustainable development.
