India, July 5 -- Europe continues to dominate the world's most powerful passports, with nine of the top 10 spots in the fifth edition of the Global Passport Index (GPI) 2026.

Unlike conventional passport rankings that focus mainly on visa-free travel, the Global Passport Index assesses the overall value of a passport by considering factors such as global mobility, investment opportunities and quality of life.

The latest rankings offer a broader picture of how passports can benefit holders-not only for international travel but also for living, working and investing abroad.
