New Delhi/IBNS, Aug. 22 -- The Supreme Court will on Friday deliver a final judgement on whether stray dogs will be removed from the streets of Delhi-NCR in the wake of the rising cases of deaths due to rabies as per its previous order, media reports said.
A three-judge bench comprising Justices Vikram Nath, Sandeep Mehta and NV Anjaria on August 14 refused to put a stay order on the previous order while hearing the petitions that sought a change in the previous judgement.
The top court had ruled that all stray dogs from the residential localities will have to be shifted to the shelters within eight weeks and any organisation attempting to block it will face the strictest punishment.
