Chennai/IBNS, May 8 -- The stalemate over government formation in Tamil Nadu continues amid rapid political realignments and alliance negotiations in the complex post-election scenario, media reports said.
TVK shakes up Tamil Nadu politics
In its electoral debut, actor-politician Vijay's party Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) won 108 seats, dramatically disrupting the decades-old bipolar dominance of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) and the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK).
However, TVK fell short of the majority mark of 118 seats and is still searching for the numbers needed to form the government.
