India, May 17 -- PM Narendra Modi, accompanied by his Dutch counterpart Rob Jetten, visited the iconic water management structure of the nation, the Afsluitdijk, a trip that has more than symbolic importance for India.

The trip drew attention to the importance of a strategically important issue for India: long-term water management and climate resilience.

After visiting the dam, Modi, who shared several images of the trip, wrote on X: "An area in which the Netherlands has done groundbreaking work is water management. The entire international community can learn a great deal from this."
