India, June 17 -- An Indian-origin tech professional who had built a promising career in the United States was among 12 people killed in a tragic skydiving aircraft crash in Missouri, shortly after takeoff, according to media reports.

The victim has been identified as Sai Karthik Varma Datla, 24, a native of Andhra Pradesh.

At least 11 skydivers and one pilot lost their lives when the small aircraft crashed in the US state of Missouri on Sunday, media reports said.
