India, March 15 -- Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar on Sunday reacted to the announcements made by West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee about DA, which were declared just minutes before the EC gave out the dates for the Assembly polls in the state.
Mamata Banerjee on Sunday announced that her government will start paying the pending Dearness Allowance (DA) to state government employees from March.
Sharing the update on X, Banerjee wrote that the government had delivered on its promise to employees and pensioners.
She added that employees would start receiving their ROPA 2009 DA arrears from March 2026.
