Kolkata, July 16 -- West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari met Flipkart Group Chief Executive Officer Kalyan Krishnamurthy and senior company executives on Tuesday to discuss expanding digital commerce, supporting small businesses and creating employment opportunities in the state.

The meeting, held at the state secretariat Nabanna, focused on strengthening collaboration in e-commerce and allied sectors, according to the Chief Minister's Office.

Krishnamurthy was accompanied by Flipkart Chief Corporate Affairs Officer Rajneesh Kumar and other senior executives.

He said West Bengal, home to Flipkart's largest fulfilment centre in India and one of the company's biggest markets, occupies a key place in the group's operations.
