India, April 4 -- US President Donald Trump has claimed that the United States could reopen the Strait of Hormuz "with a little more time," while also hinting that Iran's power infrastructure could be targeted next.

Posting on Truth Social, Trump wrote: "With a little more time, we can easily OPEN THE HORMUZ STRAIT, TAKE THE OIL, & MAKE A FORTUNE. IT WOULD BE A 'GUSHER' FOR THE WORLD."

However, he did not specify a timeline or outline how the US would take control of the crucial waterway.

In a separate post, Trump suggested that further military action could be directed at Iran's infrastructure.
