India, June 8 -- At least six people were injured in a stabbing incident at New York's Penn Station on Sunday, raising security concerns ahead of major upcoming sporting events in the city.

According to officials, one victim sustained serious injuries while four others suffered minor injuries. A sixth person was taken to another hospital, though their condition has not been disclosed.

The injured were transported to Bellevue Hospital, and authorities said none of the injuries are believed to be life-threatening.

A suspect has been taken into custody, law enforcement officials confirmed. Witnesses told WCBS that officers used pepper spray before tackling the suspect and restraining him at the scene.
