India, July 29 -- Minnesota IT Services (MNIT) has activated the state's cybersecurity incident response capabilities after a coordinated cyberattack targeted the operational technology of more than 30 community water systems across the state on July 26 and 27.

In a statement, MNIT said it is working closely with federal, state, local, Tribal and private-sector partners to investigate the incident, support affected communities and strengthen the security of Minnesota's critical infrastructure.
