India, May 15 -- An Indian-origin man who founded the outlaw motorcycle gang "Punjabi Devils" has been sentenced to five years and four months in prison for unlawful dealing of firearms and illegal possession of a machine gun in the United States.

Jashanpreet Singh, 27, was sentenced on Monday by U.S. District Judge Dale A. Drozd.

According to court documents, Singh founded the Stockton-based "Punjabi Devils" Motorcycle Club, an outlaw biker gang associated with the Hells Angels.

A subsequent search of Singh's residence led to the discovery of additional firearms, including a machine gun, another machine-gun conversion device, and a silencer.
