UK-Iranian national arrested over RAF Fairford terror plot probe
India, Oct. 2 -- British Counter Terrorism Policing has arrested a 25-year-old dual UK-Iranian national on suspicion of preparing terrorist acts in connection with an incident at RAF Fairford.
In a statement, Counter Terrorism Policing said the man was arrested in Westminster, London, on suspicion of preparing terrorist acts under Section 5 of the Terrorism Act 2006.
Searches of two properties were also carried out in the area.
Senior National Coordinator for Counter Terrorism Policing Vicki Evans said the investigation into the events in Gloucestershire was "hugely complex", with specialist teams pursuing multiple lines of inquiry.
