India, April 12 -- Donald Trump on Sunday said the United States Navy would begin blockading ships in the Strait of Hormuz following Iran's refusal to give up its nuclear ambitions after high-stakes talks held in Pakistan.
Posting on Truth Social, Trump said the negotiations lasted nearly 20 hours but failed on the key issue of Iran's nuclear programme.
"Iran is unwilling to give up its nuclear ambitions. the only point that really mattered was not agreed," he said.

Trump announced that the US would immediately move to block maritime traffic in the Strait of Hormuz, one of the world's most critical oil routes.
