India, Aug. 10 -- US President Donald Trump has demanded that Iran pay compensation for deaths, injuries and attacks allegedly linked to the Islamic Republic, saying the issue could form part of any future peace negotiations between Washington and Tehran.

Trump made the remarks in a post on his Truth Social platform, responding to Iran's reported demand for compensation for damage caused during the five-month conflict.

Trump said he found the idea of Iran seeking compensation "interesting", but argued that Washington should make a similar demand.
