Baharampur/IBNS, July 17 -- Three people, including two children, were killed after a passenger train collided with a school van in West Bengal's Murshidabad district on Friday morning, according to media reports.

Several injured, admitted to hospital

Several others, including the van driver, sustained injuries in the collision and were rushed to Murshidabad Medical College and Hospital for treatment.

Two railway staff suspended

The Railways has suspended two employees-a gateman and a supervisor-for alleged negligence in connection with the incident.

Officials said strict action would be taken against those found responsible for the accident.
