India, April 20 -- General Anil Chauhan, India's Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), will undertake a three-day official visit to the United Kingdom beginning April 19, at the invitation of Sir Richard Knighton, signalling deepening defence ties between the two countries.

According to a statement issued by the British High Commission in New Delhi, the two military leaders will hold discussions aimed at enhancing cooperation in training, operational coordination, and defence industry partnerships.

This marks the first official visit by an Indian CDS to the UK, and comes amid a series of high-level engagements between the two countries.
