Kolkata/IBNS, Aug. 3 -- The West Bengal Police's Special Task Force (STF) on Monday arrested a third suspect in connection with an alleged terror module linked to suspected Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) operative Hamim Mondal, as investigators widened their probe into an alleged conspiracy involving surveillance of political leaders, cryptocurrency transactions and possible cross-border links.

The latest arrest comes days after the STF apprehended Hamim Mondal and his associate Arpita Sarkar.

Investigators are now examining whether the accused were part of a larger network tasked with gathering intelligence on high-profile political figures and facilitating suspected terror activities in the state.
