New Delhi/IBNS, Feb. 21 -- Delhi has been placed on alert after intelligence inputs warned of a possible terror threat near the Red Fort, media reports said.
The terror group is suspected to be planning an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) attack, with a temple in Chandni Chowk believed to be a potential target.
Sources said the planned attack could be an attempt to avenge the February 6 blast at a mosque in Islamabad.
The alert comes months after a powerful car explosion near the Red Fort in New Delhi on November 10, 2025, killed at least 15 people and injured more than 20 others, making it one of the deadliest attacks in the national capital in recent years.
