Suzlon Q1 earnings disappoint! Stock drops as profit and margins take a hit
Mumbai/IBNS, July 29 -- Shares of Suzlon Energy Ltd. fell more than 3 percent in intraday trade on Wednesday after the wind energy major reported a decline in net profit for the June quarter despite posting strong revenue growth.
Q1 FY27 Earnings
For the quarter ended June 30, 2026 (Q1 FY27), Suzlon reported a net profit of Rs. 305 crore, down 6 percent year-on-year from Rs. 324 crore.
However, revenue from operations rose 22.5 percent year-on-year to Rs. 3,819 crore, compared to Rs. 3,117 crore in the corresponding quarter last year, driven by higher project execution and turbine deliveries.
Margins Under Pressure
The company's EBITDA stood at Rs. 595 crore, marginally lower than Rs. 599 crore reported a year ago.
