Mumbai/IBNS, Aug. 21 -- The controversy over Deepika Padukone's exit from filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Spirit has taken a fresh turn after the director's brother, Pranay Reddy Vanga, claimed that the Bollywood star had sought a share of the upcoming film's profits, contributing to the breakdown in negotiations.
Speaking to NTV Telugu, Pranay claimed Deepika had asked for 10% of the film's profits, in addition to the demand for an eight-hour work shift that had triggered a major online debate.
Pranay, as quoted by Hindustan Times, said the reasons for the disagreement included remuneration and working hours, along with other factors.
