India, Dec. 16 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Ethiopia on Tuesday, marking the second leg of his four-day, three-nation tour. Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali personally received him at the Addis Ababa airport and, in a rare and warm gesture, drove PM Modi to his hotel.

During the drive, Prime Minister Abiy took PM Modi to the Science Museum and Friendship Park-stops that were not part of the official itinerary.

The gesture by the Nobel Peace Prize-winning Ethiopian leader was seen as a mark of deep respect and warmth towards the Indian Prime Minister.
