Bratislavia/IBNS, June 16 -- Slovak President Peter Pellegrini conferred the country's highest state honour on Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his visit to Bratislava on Monday.

Accepting the award, Modi said the honour belonged to the people of India and reflected the friendship between India and Slovakia.

The visit also saw Modi hold separate meetings with President Pellegrini and Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico, focusing on expanding cooperation in trade, investment, defence, technology and emerging sectors.
