Kolkata/IBNS, Feb. 7 -- A lone assault from Shimron Hetmyer at Eden Gardens on Saturday afternoon powered West Indies to a competitive total of 182/5 in 20 overs, setting Scotland a challenging target in the second match of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026.
After winning the toss, Scotland elected to bowl first and enjoyed early control with disciplined bowling. However, Hetmyer counterattacked in emphatic fashion, repeatedly clearing the boundary to wrest momentum back in West Indies' favour.
Hetmyer struck six sixes and two fours, anchoring the innings before falling on the final ball of the 19th over.
