Chennai/IBNS, Aug. 27 -- Indian cricketer Ravichandran Ashwin has announced his retirement from the cash-rich domestic T20 tournament, Indian Premier League (IPL).
Ashwin said he will aim to play in overseas leagues.
Last year, Ashwin had retired from international cricket in the middle of the Border Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25.

Began with Chennai Super Kings (CSK), became famous for dismissing top batsmen in the powerplay.
He has also played for Rising Pune Supergiant, Kings XI Punjab (Punjab Kings), Delhi Capitals, and currently Rajasthan Royals (RR).
Known for innovations like the controversial "Mankading" run-out (dismissing Jos Buttler in IPL 2019, sparking debate).
