Ranthambore, Aug. 17 -- A safari at Rajasthan's Ranthambore National Park turned into a nightmare when a group of tourists, including women and children, were left stranded in a tiger-infested forest for nearly 90 minutes after their safari canter broke down in zone 6.
The incident occurred around 6 pm when the canter suddenly stopped functioning. Tourists alleged that their guide abandoned them, claiming he would bring another vehicle, but instead fled the scene after misbehaving with them.
The group remained stranded between 6 pm and 7:30 pm before a rescue team finally reached the spot, officials confirmed.
