Mumbai/IBNS, July 30 -- The much-awaited trailer of Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor-starrer Ramayana was unveiled by the makers on Thursday, offering audiences a grand first glimpse into one of Indian cinema's most ambitious mythological adaptations.

Star-studded cast and makers

Tiwari, best known for acclaimed films such as Dangal and Chhichhore, has spent several years developing the ambitious adaptation of the Hindu epic.

The film also features Ravi Dubey as Lakshmana, Vivek Oberoi as Vidyutjihva, Kajal Aggarwal as Mandodari, Rakul Preet Singh as Shurpanakha and Lara Dutta as Kaikeyi in pivotal roles.
