India, July 21 -- In one of the most dramatic political confrontations in recent years, Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi was detained and forcibly removed by Delhi Police on Tuesday after leading a Congress march to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's residence over the alleged paper leak scandal and police action against student protesters.
The protest, which began outside Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge's residence at 10, Rajaji Marg, saw Rahul Gandhi, Kharge, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and several senior Congress leaders march towards the Prime Minister's official residence at 7, Lok Kalyan Marg, demanding accountability over the NEET paper leak controversy and action against those responsible.
