India, Oct. 1 -- Former West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee appears to be looking beyond Bengal, with her recent moves suggesting a renewed interest in playing a larger role within the Opposition camp.

The possibility became evident at the recently held INDIA bloc meeting and in Banerjee's interaction with reporters afterwards.

Asked whether she would support Congress leader Rahul Gandhi as the Opposition alliance's prime ministerial face for the 2029 Lok Sabha election, Banerjee avoided a direct answer.
