New Delhi/IBNS, Aug. 15 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday addressed the nation from the ramparts of the Red Fort on India's 80th Independence Day, placing the focus on the country's journey towards a developed India by 2047, self-reliance and the role of young Indians.

This was Modi's 13th consecutive Independence Day address from the Red Fort. The celebrations this year have been centred on the theme "Yuva Shakti for Viksit Bharat@2047", while also marking 150 years of Vande Mataram.
