Piyush Goyal to lead India's largest business delegation to Japan to deepen trade ties
New Delhi, Aug. 23 -- Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal will lead more than 200 Indian business representatives on a four-day visit to Japan from August 24 to 27.
The delegation, described by the Commerce Ministry as India's largest-ever business delegation to Japan, will travel to Tokyo, Nagoya and Osaka and include representatives from sectors such as manufacturing, semiconductors, clean energy, steel, automobiles, financial services, health care and startups.
The visit will also feature dedicated discussions on semiconductors, artificial intelligence, startups and foreign institutional investment, as India seeks to attract greater Japanese investment in high-technology and emerging industries.
