India, Aug. 23 -- The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has issued more than 150 notices to food companies in recent months over alleged misleading advertisements, false claims and violations of labelling regulations, the food regulator said on Saturday.

In a social media post, FSSAI highlighted its recent enforcement drive against major food and beverage companies, saying the notices were issued for various violations of food safety laws and regulations.

"Over 150 notices issued for misleading advertisements, false claims & labelling non-compliances," the regulator said.
