Pakistani cleric claims Hafiz Saeed sent 10,000 terrorists to Kashmir
India, Aug. 19 -- Pakistani cleric Naseer Madni has claimed that Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) founder Hafiz Saeed sent 10,000 terrorists to Kashmir, bringing renewed attention to the Pakistan-based outfit's alleged involvement in terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir.
Madni made the claim while addressing a gathering associated with the banned terror organisation in Bahawalnagar on August 14.
The remarks came after Madni, who reportedly suffered a serious cardiac episode while delivering a Friday sermon earlier this month, returned to public appearances.
His claim has drawn renewed attention to Saeed's alleged role in directing or facilitating terrorist activities targeting India, particularly in Jammu and Kashmir.
