India, April 5 -- Punjab Police has arrested five individuals in connection with the blast outside the Bharatiya Janata Party office in Chandigarh, Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav said on Saturday.
Preliminary investigations indicate that the module was backed by Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), with foreign-based handlers identified in Portugal and Germany.
The case was cracked during a joint operation by the Counter-Intelligence wing of the Punjab Police and the Chandigarh Police.
"In a major breakthrough, the Counter Intelligence wing of Punjab Police, in a joint operation with Chandigarh Police, has solved the Chandigarh grenade attack case," Yadav said in a post on X.
