India, Oct. 26 -- Police said at least three people, including a gunman, were killed, and a constable was injured during an exchange of fire in Brewery area of Pakistan's Quetta city on Saturday.

Police told Dawn News that Brewery area police were conducting snap checking at Western Bypass when they signalled a suspected car to stop.

The occupants opened fire on the police and tried to escape the spot.

Police retaliated and chased the vehicle.

The vehicle was later intercepted in Killi Khali.

A heavy exchange of fire took place between the police and suspects.

Three armed men in the vehicle were killed.
