Pakistan: 4 killed as blasts, gunfire rock Rangers HQ in Karachi; suicide attack suspected
Islamabad/IBNS, June 27 -- At least four people, including three personnel of the Sindh Rangers, were killed and three others injured after a suspected suicide attack targeted the Sindh Rangers headquarters in Pakistan's Karachi on Saturday.
The assault triggered multiple explosions and an exchange of gunfire, prompting a large-scale security operation in the area.
According to local media reports from Pakistan, the attacker detonated explosives near the Rangers compound while other suspected militants opened fire on security personnel, leading to an intense gun battle that lasted for nearly 30 minutes.
