India, Sept. 8 -- More than 400 flights were cancelled across the United Kingdom on Tuesday after a technical problem disrupted Britain's air traffic control system, according to flight tracking website Flightradar24.

The National Air Traffic Services (NATS) said it had identified a problem with its flight processing system and that engineers were working urgently to resolve the issue.

In a later update, NATS said it had "implemented a fix" and that its flight processing system was beginning to recover.
