India, Aug. 19 -- Tech firm OpenAI on Monday launched ChatGPT Go, a new subscription plan targeting only the Indian market.

The plan is priced at Rs. 399 per month (USD 4.57).

The subscription plan seems to target the nearly one billion internet users in the most populous nation in the world.

Introducing the service, OpenAI wrote in a statement: "We're launching ChatGPT Go, a new low-cost subscription plan. This will initially be available for users in India only."

The plan can be availed on web, mobile (iOS & Android), and desktop (macOS & Windows).

OpenAI said ChatGPT Go is currently geo-restricted to India, and it can be subscribed to by using a credit card or UPI.
