India, June 4 -- Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC) Commissioner Smita Pandey on Thursday dismissed reports claiming that hawkers in the College Street book market, often referred to as 'Boi Para' would face eviction, calling the claims baseless and the result of misinformation spread through social media and unverified reports.

She clarified that no eviction directive has been issued by the state government or the civic administration.
