India, Aug. 30 -- Nepal has decided to begin burying unidentified and unclaimed bodies recovered from the devastating flash floods that swept through the country this week, as authorities struggle to preserve the remains amid limited storage facilities and the risk of infection, media reports said.

At least 675 bodies have been recovered so far after a tsunami-like surge of water and mud struck villages and towns on Wednesday morning.

Chitwan, a district in southern Nepal bordering India, has reported the highest number of recoveries, with 233 bodies found so far.
