India, Sept. 8 -- At least 14 people died, and several others were injured during violent clashes that erupted after Generation Z protesters took to the streets of Kathmandu to demonstrate against corruption and the Nepal government's decision to ban multiple social media apps.
The army was deployed in the Himalayan city after agitators reportedly broke curfew restrictions and entered restricted zones near Parliament.
The identities of some of the injured people is still not known.
In Damak, Jhapa, the angry mob was seen marching from Damak Chowk toward the municipal office.
In the Himalayan town, demonstrators set several motorcycles on fire.
